The Aurora Ensemble (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon) was formed in 1996. As well as their recital work, they run their own education project, ‘Sounds Exciting’, and have also performed in a wide variety of venues under the ‘Live Music Now!’ scheme. Their horn-player, Helen Shillito, is no stranger to Auckland Castle, having played here with the Broadwood Ensemble in 2005.
