For Whistle Stop and Ladies Day
1. E.B.A. rules to be adhered to.
2. Positions of players must be decided prior to the start of each round and cannot be changed once play has commenced.
3. In exceptional circumstances teams may be reduced to 3 players with the Umpire’s permission
• Lead & Second to play 3 woods, Skip to play 2 woods
4. START OF ROUND – place the mat, throw the Jack and be ready to start playing when the whistle sounds.
5. FIRST END OF EACH ROUND – The winners to claim one point only.
6. END OF ROUND – If the Jack has already been cast and set up when the whistle sounds, that end should be completed as quickly as possible.
7. Be ready to take up your position so as not to hold up the start of the next round (each round will take approximately 40 minutes).
8. If an end is ‘killed’ the opposing team will be awarded 3 points.
9. Thirds to make any decision whenever possible or call the Umpire – the Umpire’s decision is final.
10. Scoring to be done on a plus/minus system.
• In case of a draw at the end of the competition, the highest accumulative number of woods ‘For’ will decide the winner
• If it is still a draw a single end is to be played to decide the winner. The Umpire will be solely responsible for positioning the mat and the jack on the green.
