Tree Sponsorship
Following the purchase of the site in Firby road for our new pavilion, I am inviting you to take part in sponsoring the planting of trees that will fulfil a condition of the planning consent that the ground must be planted with 150 named species of trees.
The numbers required and cost of each tree will be:
24 Fraxinus Excelsior – Ash £15 each. All sold !
24 Quercus Robar – Oak £25 each. All sold !
60 Alnus Cordata – Alder £20 each. 23 left. (as of 28 Aug 06)
25 Sorbus Aucuparia – Rowan £20 each. Only 1 left !
17 Prunus Avium – Wild Cherry £15 each. All Sold !.
As Chairman, I have already taken the liberty of acquiring two Oak trees for my place in the history of Bedale Junior Football Club. I very much hope that you will also feel able to leave your legacy for future generations of children who pass through our club, as I feel I will have done for my two sons who played for the Club when it was in its infancy and there was just a football field!
If you wish to sponsor a tree, please inform your child’s team manager as soon as possible. Once they are gone, they are gone!
