Pitch and Pavilion Project
There are a small number of issues with the project which still need to be resolved
The installation of cycle racks and the Ian Matthews memorial bench seat, the provision of signage around the site these will all be done in February by Kevin Tiplady.
More Trees are due to be planted , and this will happen before the end of March , after which a plan showing the donated tree locations will be produced.
The grass has started to thicken up , and although only being used by the younger age groups at the moment , the new pitches are standing up pretty well . In addition the school pitches are looking better than they ever have done at this stage of the season , which is down to them not being overused .
There are still some works to complete , these include:-
Upgrading the woodchip footpaths around the pavilion to a harder wearing longer lasting type.
Provision of seating and boot scraping/ cleaning equipment close to the pavilion.
Due to the financial position the club is in these things cannot be afforded at the moment and will be held over until finances improve.

Official Opening
The official opening of what is now called Dobsons Field took place amidst pouring rain on 17th June , we are really grateful to Simon Grayson for giving up his Sunday afternoon and wish him well in the Championship with his team Blackpool for 2008
Also due for thanks are all those people who got their hands dirty setting up and taking down before and after the event , and the artists who painted the pavilion in the week before.
The club is also grateful to Dave Stockdale who took some fabulous photographs on the day , from which a montage will be selected to be framed and hung in the new pavilion dont be surprised to see the odd brolly in there !!
Winners of the penalty competition held on the official opening day were :-
Parents and players raised over £600 towards club funds through sponsorship , with Tony Coopers under 5/6s wading in with a massive £200 well done all round
