Leaders
Leaders deliver, with others, a balanced programme for a specific age range:
Beavers, 6 – 8
Cubs, 8 - 10½,
Scouts, 10½ - 14,
Explorers, 14 – 18
Leadership also includes:
· Ensuring the safe delivery of the programme in accordance with established rules.
· Encouraging young people to take part in residential experiences.
· Co-operating with other Leaders to ensure movement to the next age range.
· Making relationships with parents/carers
What skills do you need?
· Enthusiasm.
· An ability to communicate with young people of the relevant age range and adults.
· Technical skills are not necessary, although previous members of the movement are most welcome.
· Appropriate support and training is available and encouraged for all adult volunteers.
Where are volunteers needed?
There are opportunities across the whole of the District at different times of the week.
