What are Cub Scouts
Young people between the age of eight and ten years six months can be Cub Scouts.
Cub Scouts get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. Cub Scouts receive badges for completing activitities and showing their skills.
Cub Scouts usually meet together once a week in a Cub Scout Pack. Packs vary in size up to 36 but the majority are between 12 and 24.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.
Cub Scouts can join Scouts at around ten years six months. |
