What are Explorer Scouts

Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family. Explorer Scouting is run on a District basis, with Units partnered to local Scout Groups.
Not all Units meet each week, because you will often be out and about. Explorer Scouting is very flexible and can fit around other commitments, such as school exams.

What about Young Leaders?

Young Leaders are one form of Explorer Scouting. Explorer Scouts who wish to be Young Leaders can be a member of a traditional Unit and the Young Leaders Unit at the same time, although some choose purely to to be in one or the other.

When and where do Explorer Scouts meet

We have two traditional Explorer Scout Units covering the District together with the Young Leaders Unit.
The nature of Explorer Scouting means that meetings are not always fixed to a given time and day of the week.

How can I join Explorer Scouts
