For troubled Times

I Will Trust In You

When the fog covers my path,
Like a thick, heavy blanket.
And the fear of what is hidden,
Looms largely before me.
I will step out in faith -
I will trust in You.

When the storms of life,
Shake the foundation I stand on.
And the pain that I struggle with,
Seems more than I can bear.
I will reach for the rainbow -
I will trust in You.

When trials and disappointments,
Have tossed and turned me around.
And I don't know which direction to go in,
Or whether to just remain still.
I will stand on the promises -
I will trust in You.

When I feel all alone,
Surrounded by dark silence.
And the emptiness in my heart,
Resembles the hope that I feel.
I will come into Your presence -
I will trust in You.

When all that I believe in,
Is put to the test.
And the battle in my soul,
Threatens to destroy me.
I will believe anyway -
I will trust in you
