To pass the test you have to prove to a doctor that your condition renders you unfit for work
– this is difficult in itself and is designed to ensure that only people who are unfit for work receive the benefit.

Recent reports that Incapacity benefit is to be withdrawn in the press have given rise to great anxiety in the community.

The statement in the press is incomplete and only refers to those people who fraudently claim Incapacity benefit, by virtue of their condition improving rendering them fit for work.

Claimants whose condition still persist have no need to worry.

Hopefully an announcement will be made soon to allay peoples fears.
