Stress free Computing
How often folllowing a computer crash do you find, that, after spending a lot of time reinstalling the operating system and files only that you cannot locate a driver for some of the devices to work, not only can you not find the driver but are unsure what hardware is installed on the machine.
This can cause immense stress and as you know stress is bad for backs!
Well this recently happened to me after my anti-virus protection lapsed whilst on holiday and I had not noticed the lapse until after connecting to the internet on my return.
Well lo and behold! things started going terribly wrong with the computer, error messages appeared on almost everything I loaded.
I installed a free antivirus program and it revealed no less than 25 viruses resident on the computer. The virus subsequently infected the program and I had no choice but to reformat and reinstall everything.
The problem was however - my drivers were preloaded when I purchased the machine and I had no idea who the manufacturer of the hardware was or what drivers were needed to make their devices work.
Contacting my vendor proved fruitless because the machine was over a year old (five years actually!)
I subscribe to Windows adviser and their support staff suggested that I download a program from
http://drivermagic.com called Driver Wizard.
I did this, an encountered further problems with the download, floating point errors etc.
A quick email was sent to the authors of the software, who instantly advised that there an inherent date problem and that there was a patch on their site to cure this.
To cut a long story short, my computer is as good as new.
He has kindly given permission to us to link to his site
Don't forget to download the patch as well!
