With the advent of CD and DVD –RW drives and software there really is no excuse for having an office with shelves full of folders! Well this what the IT fraternity profess and would have us mortals believe
Information can be retreived in a nano second…. hmm that should be the case if your computer is fully functional however what happens if a virus evades your state of the art anti-virus program and destroys all of your information?
Seemingly, you have to reformat your computer and reinstall all your software needed to make the computer work and also the software you need to carry out your business!
This happened to me recently and I did just that reinstalled everything, drivers, software the whole kaboodle!
The installation went quite smoothly until I tried to use my CD burning software which I purchased from Ashampoo.
The program kept issuing an error message 'No recorder found' ! Yet I knew full well it was there because other programs had accessed it and with no problem!
I sent an embedded response form to Ashampoo and they replied instantly suggesting that I redownload the program.
I did this a couple of times but this did not cure the problem, so I invited the firm to assist me remotely.
They did and infact the chief developer Jan-Eric spent most of the night, patiently trying to sort out the problem without moaning or blaming me (which other software houses seem to do - after all how could their product be at fault? ) and cured the problem!
In contrast , I remember having a similar problem with Word not being able to find a file – but ,did Bill Gates offer to look at the problem himself ? Oh No! It took many hours of searching the Microsoft knowledge site and I cursed the day that I ever purchased a PC with a Windows operating System!
Ashampoo have shown themselves to be a company that care about their customers, their customer care in my view is second to none, Jens Meyholz who provides the support was most cooperative and helpful. It was a treat dealing with them.
Their software is a delight to use it does what it says and I have no hesitation in recommending them to you as a first choice software company
There is a lesson to be learned from this, back your files up regularly on removable storage devices, only buy products with a pedigree such as Ashampoo
