13/09 Goals galore puts Boys in pole position
Houghton Boys have taken the lead on goal difference after scoring 18 goals in their first two games of the season . They defeated Roker Rangers Blues 9-0 and then Roker Rangers Orange 9-1.Danny Grant claimed eight of the goals,Liam Lusk added four with the others from Mathew Wear,Bradley Webb, Rhys Blackburn and Joseph Calvert.
Seaham town are on equal points after winning 3-1 against FC Fatfield and 5-0 against Grindon YPC with goals from Michael Wilson , Michael Groom and Dan Cavanaugh.
Grindon won their other game against Roker Orange with only one goal needed from Liam Mariner .
A hat trick from Mathew Smith helped Wheatley Hill Rockets on to a 6-1 win over Anfield Plain with Kyle Middleton netting two more and Sam Coxon the other.
BRANDON UNITED HAD JOSHUA HALLEM TO THANK FOR THEIR 2-0 VICTORY OVER WHEATLEY HILL ROCKETS.
A goal each from Jackson and Parkinson gave Sunderland Nissan FC the edge over FC Fatfield and Redhill Juniors defeated Roker Blues 7-1 with a hat trick from Andy O'Connor,two more from Stuart Roddam and the rest from Ryan Morse and Leo Hope |
20/09 Houghton go clear
HOUGHTON Boys went three points clear after a 2-1 win over Seaham Town and then a 3-0 win against Sunderland Nissan FC with Danny Grant and Liam Lusk netting two goals each and Mathew Weir the other .
Sunderland Nissan fared better against Grindon Boys defeating them 5-0 with goals from Jopling , Corner and Routledge .
BRANDON UNITED TOOK SECOND PLACE AFTER WINNING THEIR ONLY GAME OF THE DAY 5-0 AGAINST ANNFIELD PLAIN THANKS TO AN ADAM BURNHAM HAT-TRICK AND ONE EACH FROM DANIEL RAINE AND DANIEL FIELD.
Roker Rangers Orange picked up their first points of the season with a 4-0 win over Redhill Juniors , but they were defeated in their next game by Roker Blues with a brace from Philip Jackson going unanswered.
Redhill had Stuart Roddam to thank for their 2-0 win over Seaham Town.
Keiran Stone and David Fowler grabbed a hat-trick each for FC Fatfield and Brandon Holmes added one more to defeat Annfield Plain 7-0 , then Fatfield drew their game against Wheatley Hill Rockets 1-1 with goals from Keiran Stone for Fatfield and John Paul Hunt for Wheatley Hill |
27/09 Boys go marching on
A brace each from Liam Lusk and Danny Grant gave leaders Houghton Boys a 4-0 win against Annfield Plain.Lusk and Grant scored again along with Mathew Weir to defeat Wheatley Hill Rockets 3-1.
Michael Wilson and Michael Groom bagged a hat-trick each,with Jonathon Old and Nathan Newton chipping in for Seaham Town to defeat Roker Rangers Blues .
Wilson went on to score another two for Seaham to win 2-0 against Roker Rangers Orange , while the Blues were defeated again when they couldnt reply to a brace from Callum Routledge and one from Jopling in a Sunderland Nissan win.
ADAM BURNHAM FIRED TWO GOALS PAST GRINDON YPC FOR BRANDON UNITED AND DANIEL FIELD WAS ON TARGET FOR BRANDON TO DEFEAT FC FATFIELD .
Grindon YPC fared better against Annfield Plain withn a brace from Connor Mortimer and one from Jake Smith giving them the 3-0 win. |
04/10 Houghton blast back to stay at the top
HOUGHTON BOYS STAYED AT THE TOP DESPITE SUFFERING A 2-1 DEFEAT IN THEIR FIRST GAME AGAINST BRANDON THANKS TO ADAM BURNHAM AND DANIEL RAINE .
Houghton blasted back and won their next game 5-1 against FC Fatfield with four goals from from Danny Grant and the other from Liam Lusk ,WHILE BRANDON HAD DANIEL RAINE TO THANK FOR THEIR 2-0 WIN OVER REDHILL JUNIORS TO PUT THEM ON EQUAL POINTS WITH THE LEADERS WITH A GAME IN HAND.
FC Fatfield won their other game 4-0 against Grindon YPC with all four goals being scored by David Fowler , while Redhill won 4-1 against Annfield Plain with Adam Longstaff and Daniel Stevens sharing the goals.
Bradley Morrison scored the Annfield goal and then netted another against Roker Rangers Blues but Philip Jackson replied for the Blues to end the game even.
Wheatley Hill Rockets won both of their games
2-0 the first against Roker Rangers Blues with both goals from Kyle Middleton and then against Roker Rangers Orange with Jamie Robson and John Thubron on target.
Sunderlan Nissan FC beat Roker Rangers Orange 4-1 with goals from Sean Jackson Jordan Jopling and Jamie Connelly , but then suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Seaham Town with Michael Wilson scoring all of the Seaham goals . |

Brandon United playing in blustery conditions started slowly but overcame Roker Rangers Blues strong challenges to secure a win and move to the top of the league three points clear of Houghton Boys.Kyle Tindale and Adam Burnham scored three goals each without reply from the Blues.
In their other game of the day conditions again seemed to hamper Brandons progress.An unfortunate own goal from Roker Rangers Orange settled Brandon nerves and further goals from Adam Burnham , Kyle Tindale and Daniel Raine followed to record a 4-0 scoreline.
Roker Rangers Orange were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Annfield Plain, who recorded their first win of the campaign thanks to a goal from Jack Ramshaw.The game however was not without controversy when what appeared to be a last second goal for Orange was denied when the referee ruled all of the ball had not crossed the line.
After securing their first win Annfield Plain are brought back to earth with a bump and concede 10 goals without reply to Seaham town.
In their second match of the day Seaham take all three points from Wheatley Hill Rockets scoring the only goal of the game.
In the other games of the day FC Fatfield ran out 4-0 winners againstRoker Blues,Houghton boys in their only game of the day convincingly beat Grindon 4-0.
Redhill juniors took maximum points registering a 3-0 win against Fatfield and a 2-0 win against Grindon.

18/10 Brandon boost
BRANDON UNITED WON THEIR GAME AGAINST WHEATLEY HILL ROCKETS 2-1 THANKS TO GOALS FROM KYLE TINDALE AND ADAM BURNHAM AND THEN DREW 1-1 WITH SEAHAM TOWN , BURNHAM ON TARGET AGAIN FOR BRANDON AND MICHAEL WILSON REPLYING.
Houghton Boys stay in second despite losing 2-0 to Redhill Juniors.Houghton hit back and went on to win 5-0 against Roker Rangers Orange.
Roker Orange suffered another defeat at the hands of FC Fatfield 3-0 . Fatfield then drew 1-1 with Sunderland Nissan.
Nissan won their other game of the day 4-0 against Annfield Plain.
Redhill Juniors dfeated Roker Rangers Blues 4-0 and then Roker Blues drew 1-1 with Grindon YPC
