This photo was taken in either The Maynard Arms
or Carlin How Club immediately after the Final of The Bury Cup. The Bury Cup was a football competition played between the different departments of Skinningrove Works.
Left to right Fred Snaith (my dad), Judy Noble, Nobby Noble, Reg Sudder and Nobby's dad.
Nobby played for the Fitters (a Bruce Gobbelaer type goalie). Reg played for the electricians (a nifty left winger), Reg went on to become a referee and took charge of many Bury Cup Ties.
