Have you taken part in our Show of Hands campaign yet?

Don't worry..there's still time!

This quick and easy campaign involves asking the communities we serve to draw around their hands and send them in with their name and contact details. Our aim is to collect enough hands to stretch the distance between our hospice at Bishop Auckland and our Children’s Hospice in Stockton on Tees. We estimate that this will require around 340,000 hands! It would be a fantastic help if everyone in our local communities could help us reach our target. It only takes a minute to draw around your hand – and if you can manage to draw around your other one too then that’s even better.

We’re asking people to make a donation with their hand to help us raise as much money as possible to help children and families in our care. If everyone donated just 10p with their hand then we would raise well over £30,000. We are appealing to everyone to help us exceed our goal.

What we would need from you is to ask everyone you know to draw around their hands, write on their name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if they have one). People can decorate their hands if they wish with bright colours, glitter, pictures or feathers.

Please spread the word about this campaign as we really want to go the distance. Tell your children, local school, work colleagues, family and friends and then ask them to do the same. Please help us today because every moment counts.
