Take a look round Butterwick Hospice
The pictures below give you an insight into Butterwick Children's Hospice. |
Garden
| The Garden at Butterwick Children's Hospice is a multi-sensory garden with different smells, colours and plants for the children to enjoy. | |
|
Bedroom
| There are 4 bedrooms in the Children's Hospice. All of them are designed to look like the child's bedroom at home with colourful modern duvet covers and posters. All the rooms look out onto the beautiful multi-sensory garden. | |
|
Swimming Pool
| The fantastic swimming pool can be used for fun or relaxation purposes. It must be heated to the right temperature and have the right chemical balance to meet the children's needs. Our children would not be able to use the local swimming pool so this gives children and families the chance to enjoy the water. For some this is a very special moment. | |
|
Kitchen
| We aim to create a home from home environment and our kitchen and dining facilities enable us to that. The meals are prepared by our highly trained chef. The children also get involved with cooking and baking and everyone sits eat round a huge family dining table. | |
|
Multi-sensory room
| This is one of the most popular rooms within the Hospice. The different coloured lights, bubble tubes, smells and sounds enable the children to sample different sensations whilst lying on a heated water bed. The room may be used to relax a child, do complimentary therapies or a place for fun and games. | |
