Folk Club Rules "While the artist is on stage you cant........."
Go to the Toilet (Just p** yourself)
Eat Crisps (Unless dipped in Beer)
Talk (On pain of death)
Re-enter the room (Play bingo instead)
Look too happy (Folk is serious....)
Play along on a kazoo (unless asked)
Shout "Rubbish" (np matter how dire)
Fall asleep (In a 50 verse shanty)
Request a Song (Such as "Agadoo")
Smoke (well you can her til July 1st}

The Candlelite Folk Club was launched in the 60's the club which is now organised by Neil Mason and Barbara Thow, aka "Neil & Babs" both well known performers on the folk scene. This impressive pedigree is manifest today on the quality of local performers who meet here every tuesday evening. Guest nights and Concerts are held frequently with Stars of the folk world performing regularly..........John Wright, Vin Garbut, Maurice Dickson, Mike Silver, Real Time, Chris Jones, Kieran Halpin to name bit a few. Come along, we guarantee a quality experience

You're welcome every Tuesday Evening

Come along, bring your friends, bring your guitar or fiddle or harmonica. Folk, Blues, Country, Jazz, World, Music Hall, Poetry Anything goes!! So long as it's Acoustic. We don't welcome backing tracks or Karaoke.
