Dusty And Cobweb.
 My name is Becky, I am 10 years old, and I live in Durham. I have 2 cats, Dusty and Cobweb, who are brothers, and are now 5 years old.
I had always wanted a cat, my auntie has cats and I used to like going to visit her, so I could play with the cats.
I pestered my mam to get a cat, but she always said I was too young, to look after a cat properly.
Last year my mam said she thought I was now old enough, so we went along to a nearby rescue centre.
Dusty and Cobweb, had been at the rescue centre for a couple of months. Dusty being rather timid, Cobweb the bossy cat. I went over to them and managed to give them both a cuddle.
I asked my mam if we could have them, at first she said that one cat would be enough, and said we would go home and talk to dad.
Mam talked to dad, and he agreed to have both, we went back the next day. My mam had to sign a form before we could take them home.
Dusty didn`t like the car ride home, Cobweb didn`t seem to mind. After exploring the house, they went to my bedroom and fell fast asleep.
Every night they sleep on my bed. The first things I see when I wake up are Dusty and Cobweb.
When I do my homework, they like to help, usually by pushing all the papers on the floor. I love Dusty and Cobweb very much, and very pleased my mam said I was now old enough to have a cat. I also feed them, litter trays I`m not too keen on, but sometimes my mam helps me clean them out.

 My name is Claire, I am 12 years old. I live in Darlington. I have a 4 year old cat, called Smokey. We got Smokey when he was a kitten, He sleeps with me on top of my bed every night. I love Smokey very much.

Smudge.
 Hello My name is Sam. I have a 6 year old cat called Smudge. Smudge was a stray, he was living in a neighbour`s garden. When no-one claimed him our neighbour couldn`t keep him, so he came to live with us. We have had Smudge for 3 years. When we took him in, my mum took him to the vets to be checked. The vet aged him about 3 years old. He likes to sleep a lot.

Peaches And Cream.
 My name is Kelly I am 9 years old, and I live in Cambridge. I have two sister cats, now 2 years old.
We got them as 6 week old kittens from a local rescue centre. The rescue centre had named them Peaches and Cream. I liked their names so decided to keep them.
As kittens they used to run up my mam`s curtains,
hang onto the curtain pole and look at us from an upside down position. They also liked to jump from tables and chairs, onto anything that they could reach.
Peaches and Cream sleep with me on a night, which at this time of year is nice, as they keep me nice and warm. In the summer it is not so nice, as I get too hot, I did try to put them on the floor, but they would only stay there for a minute then climb back on my bed, so I gave up in the end, and just let them stay there.

How I Got Cally
 Cally had been born in a dumpster. With only five other cats with her, her life was on the line. Her mother and brother died.That`s when the pound found her.
Our neighbours go and adopt cats from the pound every now and then. The day before she was to be put to sleep, they had come in and adopted two of
the three that were left. Their grandmother had gone with them, and couldn`t bare to watch one cat out of that cute litter be put to sleep, so she adopted it.
Cally hated it because they had four children over there. She finally got out and started being
beated up by the toms. There was a black cat - a stray that I hate. That was the one that bullied her the most and stole her food. Her brother Tiger
stood up for her, to only get beaten up himself.
Finally, about a month later, we moved in. I met the family, they are really nice, and the kids are fun to play with, it`s just hard to have a pet. I watched, and heard Cally being beaten up every night.
Soon though, they were giving her away, on the count that they got the other cat from their grandmother.
We took her. She was in very bad shape. We healed her and she is very happy now.

Ms. Kitty. Blacky and Oreo
 Hallo, my name is Esther, and I'm 11 years old. I live in the U.S, so I can't donate (sorry!). Before I met my three cats, Ms. Kitty, Blacky, and Oreo, I had always wanted a dog, but that never happened. I asked my dad, "When can I get a dog?"
"When we move in the new house."
1 year later, in a new house...
"When are we getting that dog?!"
" Just be patient" and so on.
It was the last week of August, and I was at a sleep over at my friends house that lives two doors down. We were watching 'Everybody Loves Raymond', when her mom comes in and says, Alyssa, Esther, this is serious!"
We got up, and then she said "There's a newborn kitten on the driveway!!!" We dashed to her garage and out the door, and there was a newborn kitten, wet and not to be rude, but it was kiond of ugly... We picked it up with a towel (so if we found the mother re wouldn't reject it) and ran to my house to see how to cut the ubilical cord (we didn't know how). My parents didn't know, so we figured it would come off naturly.
We ran back to her house, and there the mom was in the weeds, having more beautiful kittens! It was very cold, and it had just rained, and I had no shoes! I had to walk through the mud, just to get the kittens into the garage. We couldn't bring them into the house because they have a dog and an aggresive tom cat. When we brought the queen into the garage she got scared and flew under the garage steps.
She then had a kitten under the stairs!! When we got her out, she was dusty and dirty. After a while of intence running and gentle handling, we let the mom rest with her babies. There were four kittens, A black and white one (Oreo), and black one with a white upside down triange on her chest (Blacky), a white one (Tarzana), a siamese looking one (Twitches), and the mom was black and white (Ms. Kitty). They were so cute!
Well, obviously, we couldn't keep them in the garage, so I got to keep them! It was so much fun! It was scary when Twitches first opened his eyes; they were blood red!! After a while, they had to be sold, and all that were left was Oreo, Blacky, and Ms. Kitty. It has been 5 months, and they are thriving! It was a wonder that the mother survived, as we had seen her before she had kittens 3 months ago. It was a great experience, and not getting a dog really paid off.

Macey's Story.
 hi am Macey i am 10 years old.I use to have a cat she was pretty and nice and also shy some times.I loved that cat so much!Her name was Sassy i said aka MeowMeow!I made the name up meowmeow because she always meowwwww!Than she stared to look sick very sick so mom took her in the vet.Guess what....¿She had cancer! =( I was soo sad.Well that afternoon i came home from school i ran in the house closed the door ran to my mom and asked....WHERE'S MY CAT WHERE IS SHE!?My sister and my mom looked at me...I said she died right??My mom said i put her to sleep.I said what had?She told me i had to go to the potty so i ran to the tiolet and i got tears in my eyes all the good memories.2 nights i cryed myself to sleep because of that good cat that used to sleep with me and everything good times good times.Well i got to go know bie bie ya!!
