Catterick Garrison Model Flying Club

The club was formed in 1979 with a mix of military and civilian members based around Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire.

The first flying site was on the moors above the Garrison but this proved unsuitable and after a spell at the former RAF Catterick the club now flies on the former football field at Gilling West near Richmond in North Yorkshire.

Indoor flying for light fixed wing models and electric helicopters takes place at Risedale Community College, Hipswell, Catterick Garrison, around 4 times a year and in winter there is indoor flying of electric helicopters at Scorton Village Hall on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays in the month (7.00 pm).

The Club is affiliated to the BMFA (British Model Flying Association No: 565) and all Club Members must be members of the BMFA.
