Childrens Travel Fund

Lightwater Valley Trip This Service is a transport fund facility specifically established to provide all children (5-13) and their families with subsidised transport to access activities and facilities outside of their rural locality. The fund compliments the Community Transport Initiative by providing a safe, affordable and flexible service that is able to get groups and individuals to destinations of their choice. During the Summer holidays the fund has contributed towards community trips to Flamingo Land, Lightwater Valley, The Forbidden Corner, South Shields and Blackpool to name a few. Each booking must meet strict criteria, phone the office on 665225 to see if we can help with the cost of your trip. The Fund only has three months remaining but all money contributed towards these trips by the community is establishing a smaller travel fund that will help provide a limited service after this time.
