CHESTER-LE-STREET 2007 FESTIVAL NOW COMPLETED

This year saw a new Festival established during which all organisations in the Chester-le-Street district were invited to stage an event – for their own benefit – as part of the Festival activities. These organisations included: • Youth Groups • Church and Religious Groups • Sporting Groups • Drama Groups • Schools • WI Groups • Rotary / Round Table • Local History Groups • Music Groups • and other clubs and societies wishing to be involved. A “Festival Committee” headed by Tom Moffat MBE, President of Durham County Cricket Club, helped organisations to publish their events by way of this website – specifically dedicated to the Festival – and a brochure which listed all events taking place.
