Fundraising events and other items.

John O'Groats to Lands End cycle ride.

Peter Howe and friends did the
above ride June 18th - July 1st 2003 to raise funds for a one or two charities including ours.
Details of funds raised will be available soon.

Great North Run.

Pam Keates and Sheila Harling
took part in the above run on, Sunday 21st September 2003, in memory of Pam's sister-in-law
Jenny Wall who died ealier this year.Jenny was a
loyal,hard working member of our committee and we
miss her.
Well done Pam and Sheila.£1,750 has been received from sponsors so far, money still coming in.

Great North Run again !

Lee O'Sullivan,Jacqui Young,
Dennis Clamp,Nicola O'Sullivan,Dean Fielding,
Vicky Thew and Sarah Forrester took part in the
above run on Sunday 21st September 2003 in memory
of Lee's husband Antony who died in October 2002.
Antony was 'James Bond' in our 2000 Fashion Show.
So sad to lose such a talented young man.
Between them they raised the magnificent sum of
£2,846 for our charity. Well done!

A Ceilidh dedicated to the memory of Libby Buckton.

Libby was a model in the 2001 Fashion Show.She died earlier this year.Always remembered.
The night was a great success, enjoyed by all.
Proceeds from the night totalled £1,395.One-third
of this was donated to our charity.Thanks to all concerned.

Middleham Key Centre Antiques and Collectors Fair

This fair was held Sunday 28th Sep.2003.We had a Tombola stall which raised £80,
thanks to Judith and Sian.

'Countdown' contestant

Pamela Moffat has done her recording for the well-known TV programme on on Tuesday 20th January 2004.Tune in to Channel 4 at 3.15pm
on Thursday 26th February.

Project Linus

Volunteers make quilts in a variety of
sizes for seriously ill or traumatised children in the area.Co-ordinator Val Daniel of Bedale,
North Yorks. says "The recent donation from
Celebration of Life will be spent directly on
providing quilts for children with cancer".

Sponsored walk along Hadrian's Wall 16th/17th April 2004

Geoffrey Johnson,from the Irish Guards,one of the
models in 2004 Fashion Show is walking the whole
length of Hadrian's Wall starting from Walsend.
He is raising money for our charity please support him.
