The bowling green is situated in the village of Dacre Banks which is on the B6451 Otley to Pateley Bridge Road.
It is part of the sports complex originally known as the Max Pullan Playing Field which was conveyed to the original trustees for use by the residents of the Parishes of Dacre and Hartwith-cum-Winsley. It is now under the management and control of a Committee called The Dacre and Hartwith Playing Field Association Management Committee.
