The Society is fairly new having been established in April 2000 to allow people interested in the cultivation and conservation of Orchids to meet and discuss related subjects. There is, of course, more than just this. Explore our website to find out more about us and come along to a meeting. Many members just grow plants on windowsills and around the house because, contrary to popular belief, some Orchids are extremely easy to grow as houseplants and only require the same amount of attention you would give to your houseplants. We invite commercial growers and other people to speak to us and help us to enjoy our hobby. We also try to make available Orchids for members to buy and add to their collection, if indeed they have a collection.
