Darlington Civic Trust.

At a public meeting on the 12th of March 2003 approximately fifty attendees supported the idea of forming the Darlington Civic Trust.

The three main OBJECTS of the TRUST are to:

1) To promote high standards of planning and architecture in or affecting Darlington and District.

2)To educate the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture in Darlington and District.

3) To secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest.

At the meeting a Constitution was agreed and a Steering Committee elected.

Membership is open to all and the Committee will welcome new members.
