ALESSANDRO TAVERNA Programme Beethoven: 15 Variations and Fugue in E-flat major, Op. 35 ‘Eroica Variations’ Busoni: Kammer-Fantaisie über Carmen Rachmaninov: Preludes Op. 23/7 in C min, /9 in Eb min. /8 in A min., Op. 32 / 4 in D major, Op. 23/2 in Bb Schumann: Fantasie in C major, Op. 17 Born in Venice in 1983, Alessandro Taverna has already won numerous awards in international competitions, including the Minnesota International , the London International and Bronze Medal at the Leeds International Piano Competition. He also won the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize awarded by the Eppan Piano Academy in the South Tirol, Italy. Performances throughout Italy, and Europe, America, Canada and South Africa followed his success in Leeds and led to many engagements throughout the UK . This concert is sponsored by Roman Showers.
