Ray has 50 years experience in breeding budgerigars and is on the main panel of judges.After all these years he is still as enthusiastic as when he started.
He had open heart surgery in 2006 and was judging at Darlington and Spennymoor open show 2 months later.He said he did not wish to let anyone down.
It is fantastic to hear him talk about his time in the fancy and it is a real education.He and his wife Christine always make people so welcome.They are lovely people to know and it is always a pleasure to visit them. |
