IMPACT is an Alternative Education Programme
The team consists of:
Sheila Savage - F C F
Julie Gent - Youth Worker
Carole Foster - Behaviour Support Worker
George Sewell - Driver / Support
Michelle MaGuire - Escort / Support
Joan Connelly - Driver / Support
Richard Ede - Escort / Support
We work with 14-16 year old students who are in danger of being excluded from school. Students are brought to the centre by our mini buses.
They are given a timetable that includes:
English / Maths / ICT
Citizenship / COPE / Foundation for work
These are all to enable the students to gain GCSE rasults.
In December, IMPACT was awarded the best Team Award for attaining higher results in GCSE. We were very proud to know that although we work with challenging young people, we are enabling them to reach and achieve higher results than they had exprected. |
