Welcome to Dean Bank Chat'n'Craft

The Dean Bank Chat 'n' Craft is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours relaxing in the company of local women who use their handicraft skills to undertake a variety of projects. These range from Church beautification to clothing the poor or perhaps raising funds for the starving and need in Africa or the underveleoped countries of Eastern Europe. The chat element of the meetings is an equally important and enjoyable experience as so many topical issues and pertinent local information is freely discussed and broadcast, making this venue almost the 'centre for communication' in the Village. Meetings are every Thursday morning from 10am to 12 noon. Subscription is £1 and includes a cup of tea or coffee. The group also arranges coach trips away three times a year for members and their guests. This year the trips will include Skipton and Harrogate, Scarborough and also York near to Christmas time. The groups is organised by Jean Hedley and Ann Turner (Treasurer) and has a membership of 30.
