PLEASE NOTE - DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THE PRESENTATION SCHEDULED FOR 15th JULY IS CANCELLED - ALL NOMINATIONS WILL BE HELD OVER UNTIL THE OCTOBER PRESENTATION. The commitee has met and dates have been arranged for this years presentations. The sports have been re sorted so different sports are in different months. To view the new dates for the 2009 awards please look below at the table. TO BE CONTINUED THIS YEAR IS THE SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE GRAND FINAL. THE COMMITTEE WILL DECIDE UPON THIS YEAR'S RECIPIENT BY CONSIDERING ALL NOMINATIONS RECEIVED FROM ALL CATEGORIES THROUGH OUT THE YEAR. The Darlington Sports Winners Scheme is designed to encourage and recognise sporting achievement from all LOCAL sporting enthusiasts. Selection will be based on candidates sporting ACHIEVEMENT and PROGRESS over the previous 12 months, for the Young Sports Winner and Team/Club Award. Nominations from disabled sports people are encouraged. Please note that the committee has decided that Service to Sport/Coach nominations will be accepted throughout the year, but that judging for all nominations will be done on 19th November. There will only be one prize for this particular award - it will be presented at the Grand Final on 3rd December ALL CEREMONIES WILL BE HELD IN THE DOLPHIN CENTRE'S CENTRAL HALL - EXCEPT 15th July, we hope to hold this ceremony at SERCO's offices at Durham Tees Valley Airport.
