Who Are We?
We are a friendly 4th section brass band based in Dunston, Gateshead. The band have been in existence for over 100 years, although the exact date of it's formation is unknown.
What Do You Do?
The band play a wide repetoire of music at many different types of function. The band have a full complement of players but anybody wishing to join the band will be made welcome.
CD & Charity Concert
The band are in the process of recording a CD and this will be launched at a charity concert in the Lancastrian Suite in the Federation Brewery, Dunston. All money raised will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care and Percy Hedley Foundation. This will be held on Wednesday 5th June and will feature Dunston Band with guest soloists Jimmy Hayes and Jayne Murrill. There will also be the Hoch Stufe Oompah Band.
