Potential Development of Longovicium Roman Fort

As part of their Masters Degree, Elvet Associates have to produce a consultation report into the feasability of the development of Longovicium Roman Fort as a major tourism attraction.

The study is being carried out in partnership with several parties; these include the landowner, the district & county councils, Geoquest Associates and other local tourist attractions.

The fort is thought to be a well preserved example of a multi-occupancy fort from the early period of Roman rule, and there are many examples of material found at the site in museums around the country.
