THREE STRIKES AND YOU’RE OUT!

THREE STRIKES AND YOU’RE OUT!
Stepys Coaches Durham and District Sunday Football League Is next Season Bringing in the Three Strikes and Your Out rule to Clubs with in the League.
The Idea of the Three Strikes and Your out Policy will Hopefully make Clubs respect the Referee and clubs that persistently offend will be expelled from the league.
This is not a Major Problem with in the League, other Leagues have suffered this Problem in previous Seasons, but the Stepy’s Coaches Durham and District Sunday Football league have launched the Three Strikes and Your Out Rule so that it doesn’t become a major problem in the Future.
All club secretaries have been warned of the consequences should they persistently break the Rules, in that they would be removed from the League and all Players registered with that Club would be suspended from the League, and other League’s in the County would be Notified that the players from that club have been removed from the League and not to allow them to register in another League in the County.
New Referee’s who have Just qualified, you hear of them leaving the game due to touchline abuse, this from Spectators, Substitutes, Club Officials etc .The Management Committee of the Stepy’s Coaches Durham Sunday Football League have agreed to put this in to practice for the Forthcoming Season.
If a club is found guilty once they will be fined and severely warned as to their future conduct. A second time will mean a heavy fine and a final warning. A third guilty decision will result in expulsion from the league. Referees are encouraged to report all Clubs who give on field or Touchline abuse to the Referee. This is a Clear message to all clubs Control tour Club or suffer the consequences

Referee shortage

Referee shortage
again poses a Big Problem to the League. We like most League's in the North East Suffer from the shortage of Referee's on a Sunday Morning.
"Discipline again produces the main worry of the League as Players direct more abuse to the Referee, not only players on the Field of Play, but abuse from the side line aimed at Referee’s appears to be on the up, this from Club Officials, Substitutes and Club Supporters, the League will not tolerate this idiotic behaviour so clubs that default this Season when they appear in front of the League’s Management Committee, be prepared for heavy fines and the deduction of points, The Three Strikes and Your out Policy will be strictly adhered too, remember we need Referee’s with out them their would be no games, clubs must realise this as the shortage of Referee’s increases Season by Season, they don’t Referee for the Money ,Like you and I they do It for the Love of the Game, so please Take the message back to your players and Clubs this Season that the League will not tolerate bad or unruly behaviour to the Referee.
It has also been reported to me Last Season by Referee’s that Club Officials are asking Referee’s at the end of Games not to sent in Caution and Red Card Offences to the D.F.A, It is a Referee’s Duty to do this, so please beware any Club caught doing this will be reported to the D.F.A.
Referee’s are Only Human , if they have a Bad Game then as per League Rules send in a Report with the Team Sheet, do not and I stress this DO NOT give him abuse after the game , this only leads to the League possible loosing another Referee, and your Club facing a Visit to the League’s Management Committee.
The Stepy's Coaches Durham Sunday Morning Football League the North East's Premier Sunday Football League like many of the Sunday League's in the area is short of Match Referee's.
Referee's if you have any free Sundays then please Contact

Latest Referee News
UEFA has asked referees to clamp down on dissent after the UEFA Referees' Committee, together with top officials, discussed various refereeing issues at their fourth annual gathering.
Bookable offences
Following the outcome of the discussions in Nyon on Wednesday, UEFA wants to emphasise that it has asked match officials to take immediate action by cautioning players in the case of the following offences: waving of an imaginary card to have an opponent booked; crowding around the referee, when at least one player should be cautioned and not only the initiator; and dissent by gesture or running towards to referee.
Immediate application
UEFA is determined to stop dissent and the harassment of referees and wishes to make players and team officials aware that referees in all UEFA competitions will punish such on-field confrontations appropriately. These additional instructions for referees should be applied immediately, starting with Saturday's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers
Wearing of Jewellery
No Tolerance of the Wearing of Jewellery by Players. This policy applies equally to teams competing in fixtures sanctioned by Durham Sunday Football League and the Durham County Football Association. In the simplest of terms, players may not wear jewellery during matches. The exception is a wedding band – which should be taped. Piercings must be removed and any difficulties associated with this will not be accepted by referees as an excuse for non-compliance. If you wear jewellery which requires special tools to remove it then make sure you do so before coming to the game if it is not practical to do so at the ground. If you take the field wearing jewellery and your referee sees it you will be given two choices: Remove it. OR B. don’t play
