About East Cleveland World Development Movement
For over 30 years the WDM has been winning change for the world's poor.
We meet on a monthly basis to discuss ways in which we can help to :
- reduce poverty
- promote sustainable development
- compel multinational corporations to abide by international standards which protect people and the environment
- enable governments to promote their own development strategies and uphold democracy
- uphold existing international agreements on human rights, workers, consumers, indigenous people and the environment.
COLLUDO
A public meeting will be held on October 20th 7.30 - 9.30pm at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington.
The subject of debate will be Debt and the effect it has on the worlds poorest countries.
The main speaker will be Demba Dembele - Dirctor of Forum for African Alternatives, Senegal and Effie Jordan - Debt Campaigner WDM.
Our next meeting is at the Marine Hotel, Saltburn in November, date to be confirmed.
