About the First Responders

First Responders are a group of volunteers who are trained in basic First Aid and the use of a defibrilator. We are called out to certain medical emergencies by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) Control to stabilise the patient untill the Ambulance arrives. Our group work in the Easington District area.
We have now set a scheme up in Durham working from Durham University.
