Lorna and I usually pop into King John's on our way to the match. Located in South Road near the west corner of the War Memorial Square, King John's is a very popular pub primarily because of its no nonesense price policy. Its open all day, serves pub grub all day and has some interesting pictures showing the history of West Hartlepool and what happened on the Headland in 1914 when the German's bombed our chippy (apologies to Stan Boardman). Very busy on a weekend and match days so why not pop in and buy me a pint? |
