The Moorings can be found on the Calder Canal in the sleepy backwater that is Sowerby Bridge near Halifax. You can watch the long boats come and go as you enjoy good pub food at this most quaint hostelry.

Whilst in Sowerby Bridge enjoy a weekend stay, walk along the canal or visit some of the great little pubs in the town. The Lockkeepers, is a good place to start and within walking distance there are the King William, the Railway and one tucked away behind the main drag - its name escapes me at present. |
