A walk in the Park

The Park Inn (it used to be called the Park Hotel when they had gas lighting) is in Park Road Hartlepool (ref TS26 9HU if you are looking for it on multi map).
Lorna and I often call in the Park for a small sherry after we have shopped until we drop in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
Lunches are served from 12 noon until 2.30pm and evening meals from 5pm until 9pm with basket suppers available from 9pm until 11pm. The staff tell us that they serve probably the best Sunday lunches in town. I am sure the staff at the Greenside, Travellers Rest, Raby Arms, White House and a host of others would challenge that statement.
The Park offers a choice of starters and light bites from £1.50 with a meat free selection between £6/7. The main meals start with Chili con Carne and Lasagne Verdi both at ££4.95 right through the full range to Prime Fillet Steak at £12.95.
If you only want a light bite could I suggest either the Prawn Marie Rose at £2.95 or the succulent Hot beef and gravy at £2.50.
Yes this is good pub grub and they do serve coffee and tea.
The 3 course Sunday lunch comes in at a rediculous price of just £6.95 with a choice of Roast Beef, Pork, Lamb or chicken and a home made dessert. Kids eat at half price but Booking is adviseable.
We have had several pub meals here and they are excellent value for money.
They have SKY TV, a pool table in the bar, a juke box and fruit machines which I suppose is a catch all marketing ploy.
Ring the Park Inn today on 01429 233126.
