Bag 2 School

We have several 'Bag 2 School' collections per year.

This is a way of recycling old clothes, fabrics, curtains, shoes, bags etc.

Families are issued with blue bags to collect items they no longer require and asked to bring to school on a particular day for collection.

The school gets paid about a £1.00 per bag which goes towards fundraising for the school fund, which in turn goes towards subsidising school outings, swimming, books and extra equipment.

Printer Cartridges

We currently recycle all our printer cartridges with 'Tommy's' the baby charity. For further information you can visit www.tommys.org.

Paper Recycling

With the help of the School Action Waste Club last year, we have obtained our own large recycling paper bin from Richmondshire District Council.

We use recycled white copier paper in school for printing and photocopying.

Compost Bin

Again, through the School Action Waste Club, Richmondshire District Council have been able to give us our own Composting Bin.

All the dead leaves from the playground and waste from the fruit which the children get in school are collected in the hope that one day we will have our own compost.
