Bats

On most summer evenings, tiny whiskered bats (rare) and pipestrel bats can be seen flying round the church and the village. Small gaps in the roofing provide the entrances to their roosts. During the day they hang from the roof boards. It is said that, on very hot summer afternoons, it is possible to hear the bats shuffling their feet when they get too hot.
