I was very surprised that so many people here are interested in Chinese food, there is no doubt that Chinese food is the best all of the world, just simply think about its history you would imagine how many varieties of dishes people could create during such a long period.
Because of reputation of many restaurants’ in China town in Newcastle, I went to there quite a few time and tried some, none of them is as good as a small restaurant in any single city in China. I would have thought they brought the dishes up to western style so that it matches local flavour.
In the supermarket, many fresh pre-packed vegetables are marked as stir-fry, also many sauce such as “sweet and sour” become more and more popular. I am happy to know that people accept Chinese food and understand that is the healthier food than
‘Fish and chips’.
But really, Chinese cooking could be much simpler without those sticky ready sauce and pre-packed mixed vegetable. You could always spend less than 30mins and enjoy a nice dish.
I have been cooking for myself nearly two years and hate complication, but I do enjoy cooking and having those simple and nice dishes. I also create some by myself using the ingredient I could find here.
I would like to share my experience with people and hope I could give them some new ideas about Chinese cooking and dishes.
