News previously reported

Congratulations to all the winners on finals night and finalists for getting that far. For all the info see the seasons honours page.

A brilliant night to round off a fantastic season, well supported and all credit for the friendly rivalry.

A quick summary of the finals night games:

Having had a steady season, new kids on the block the Cross Keys Eppleby won the B Division team KO, a close run affair.

The A Division team KO was a closer contest, going down to the wire with Croft Club B coming out on top.

Rob Raine & Steve Addison overcame a nervous second leg to win the Pairs KO 2 - 1, youth finally toppling experience !

Lastly regarding the games, Chris Allum added to his aggregate domination by winning the Individuals KO 2 - 0, rounding off a brilliant personal season.

The raffle raised helpful league funds, thanks to all who donated a prize and everyone who bought tickets.

Finally thanks once again to Tom, Tom, Paul, Paul, Nigel, Alan, Aubrey, the league committee, the KO locations, Croft Club, and all who played in, supported and followed the Forcett & District Darts League for another fantastic season ... pat on the back ... it's you who make the difference.

Before you view the new website page ...

... can you name at least 60 plus Teams who play or have played in the League since it's beginning !

I say at least 60 because there are some seasons in which I have no historic data. If you have any additional info, please send it to me.

Try making a list before checking it against the info !

League tables concluded, the headlines were :-

A Division

Croft B don't lose a match all season and are crowned league champs.
The Kings Head beat off stiff opposition to secure runners up.
The Four Alls miss out on a top spot but win both the Nominator & Doubles competitions.
Chris Allum is aggregate champion having lead for most of the season.
Tom Lewis-Saunders 167 outshot is a winner.
Tom also shares the least darts accolade with Steve Taylor, both 15 darts.
Martin Farmer hit five 180s, three more than his nearest rival.
Ronny Allum, Chris Allum and Dave Heron started games on 160s, impressive for a double start league.

B Division

Locomotion No1 have a good late run to secure the leagues top spot.
The Black Horse played 2 games in a week to take second place.
The Quoits Club are doubles competition winners having lead most of the season.
The Cross Keys pipped the Quoits Club to the nominator competion top spot.
Trevor Dockerty battled stiff competition to take the aggregate champion title.
Dave Walbey left it late to finish on a 160, beating strong scores from others.
Matthew Turner is the least darts champ with a 19 darter.
Paul Bowers was the only player to hit two 180s in the season.
Paul also had a 160 start and shares this achievement with Barry Leyburn & Richard Fletcher.

There were 10 entries for the well supported Sid Dobinson U21 Knock Out. Matty Raine hit the most 100+ scores on the night and narrowly missed out on a place in the final. Steve Addison retained the crown, beating Andrew Goodfellow in a closely fought contest. Well done to all who entered.

In the Ian Beattie memorial trophy KO, James Maughan beat off stiff competition to beat Paul Bowers in the final after a cautious start to the competition. Thanks to all who entered and also to those who supported a good night of darts.

Locomotion No1 put up a brave challenge but the A division champs Croft Club B were too strong, 5 - 0 winners in the Champion of Champions.

It was a much closer affair in the Interleague, nearly going to the wire, but yet again the A division proved stronger winning 6 - 4.

If you have a story to tell, let me know and I will consider placing it on this website.
