HARDWICK HALL COUNTRY PARK

The Hardwick Hall Country Park, administered by Durham County Council, lies a short distance to the west of Sedgefield, a small rural town midway between Durham and Stockton-on-Tees. The country park is well used and appreciated by people both from Sedgefield and further afield as a place for informal recreation in pleasant surroundings, with wood, water and wildlife all well represented. The presence of several ornamental buildings suggests even to the casual visitor that Hardwick has a richer story to tell.
