WHAT OF THE FUTURE?

The Friends of Hardwick are looking towards the restoration/replacement of a number of the original features from John Burdon's garden.

It is intended these will add to the facilities already enjoyed by the many people who use the Country Park as it is today. The restoration of the Lake and the Temple of Minerva, together with the opening up of vistas will greatly add to the areas of the Park accessible to the public.

The parkland between Sedgefield and the A177 is also part of this whole. It is envisaged that this will be restored to grassland with the addition of extra public footpaths to improve access to Hardwick Park via the bridge under the A177.
