The Village Pump
A big cheer for the Frosterley Hall Committee who have launched the village's first news sheet, the Frosterley Flyer. Not quite on the scale of the local Weardale Gazette but directed at local events. The village hall has a spanking new glass display case for notices and for the Frosterley Flyer.

Re-opening of Reading Room
The Reading Room has been re-opened. A daily copy of the Northern Echo and copies of the Weardale Gazette will be available. | |

Vandalism to St Michael and all the Angels
 | Vandalism - Many village folk have been saddened to learn of the wanton vandalism done to the church in March when lead panes and a gate light were smashed. The notice in the hall window says it all, churches and graveyards are not really meant as play grounds. Sadly we all suffer as many churches have been unable to met the cost of repairing windows and the beauty of stained glass has been replaced by toughened opaque perspex sheets.

Past Events in the Village Hall
Until recently events had to be advertised as shown below. Posters and Bluetack. Very practical but the new glass case just adds a bit of professionalism. So thanks to everyone who got the new community notice board. |
