Frosterley is surrounded by wonderfell fells, intersected by footpaths. Great for walking. Within 5 minutes of leaving the heart of the village, you can be up on the fells with nothing but sheep and lapwings for company and the odd low flying plane. From observation, low flying at Frosterley occurs about 11 am, Monday to Friday Watch the jets swoop south targeted on the church spire of St Michael and all the Angels.
