Stanhope Open Air Swimming Pool

Just three miles westwards from Frosterley, lies the hidden gem of Weardale, Stanhope Open Air Swimming Pool. This heated, 25 metre outdoor pool is open for business from the late May Bank Holiday until early September. A list of opening times is available from the swimming pool office or its web site.

The swimming pool is operated and managed by a dedicated band of volunteers. Weardale Open Air Swimming Pool Assocation is a registered charity.

A very popular fundraising morning car boot sale takes place in the swimming pool car park on the last Sunday of every month. (Except from November to February)

The First Car Boot Sale for 2004 takes place on Sunday morning, 28 March 2004.
