County Durham Furniture Help Scheme

The charity's objects are;
To relieve poverty in particular by the provision of a furniture and household goods recycling service to those people resident in County Durham who are in necessitous circumstances.

Part of our work is to help people who have been unemployed due to illness (mental or physical) as well as ex-offenders and those who, for various reasons, have been long term unemployed, to return to employment by giving them work experience and the chance to learn new skills in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

We are open Monday to Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm or by appointment. Please phone during these hours on 01388 721509.

Please come and visit us and see our large range of reusable furniture, household goods and appliances. We have everything you may need to fully furnish a house including bedding, crockery, cutlery, etc. The ground floor show room is about 600 square metres, and then there is Aladdin’s cave.
At the moment we have a few tins of paint, emulsion, gloss, varnish, etc. Hurry while stocks last.
