YORKSHIRE EVENTS PROGRAMME 2008

The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) is an independent organisation with charitable status. FWAG unites wildlife and landscape conservation with profitable farming and forestry. Members receive regular notification of events, as well as a range of other benefits. For further details of FWAG membership please contact your local FWAG office.

All interested farmers and landowners are welcome to attend any of the events listed in the programme. Places are limited at some events and booking may be necessary, with a fee for some courses and workshops. Full details of the events can be obtained by contacting the Group organising the event. FWAG also has a Demonstration Farm supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society at Hopewell House, Knaresborough. To join a group visit to the farm please contact the North Yorkshire FWAG office.

FWAG Forum at White Rose Hotel, Leeming Bar. Thursday 24th. 1.00 – 3.30pm (NY)

Hedgelaying Course at Slingsby in conjunction with the Howardian Hills AONB. Wednesday 6th all day. (NY)

An Introduction to Woodland Management & Planting – Course at RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate tutored by FWAG. Friday 8th all day. (NY)

Entry Level Scheme Management Plan Clincs -
A series of events funded by Natural England to help farmers who need to amend their ELS agreements to take account of the recent removal of management plan options - booking required.
