I have visited your site on many occassions, the first time I entered my name in your guest book. I would like to say that you have a very active site and it sounds very busy and interesting. This year I couldn't attend the Blackpool Conference as my wife was unwell. However I went to your site, saw all the photographs of the parade and the functions and it feels as if I was at the conference and on the parade and hadn't missed a thing.. I did miss the company though. I was stationed at Middleton St George 1959-1960 in sigs traffic and Air traffic control, hunters and javelins were in their hay days then. I am standard bearer for Forth Valley Branch (Falkirk) and with a little bit of luck will see you all at Blackpool next year. Cheers. Johnny Hanlon

Thought I would let you know of a new web site at www.kamrafa.co.uk which features the Kirriemuir aviation museum and RAFA ( Angus Branch) where the designer of the RAF tartan is a member.

Liked your site very much recognised a lot of old faces though I couldn't remember their names Except for one of course Harry Dowson. I served six months at Middleton St George in 1960 at air traffic control/and sigs traffic. I enjoyed it there with the Hunters and Javelins before being posted to Nato Hq Fontainebleau France. I am Standard bearer for Forth valley Branch Falkirk and I hope to meet up with your lot again. Anyone for the Kiwi hotel in Bournemouth this year???

Thank you for including the Yorkshire (Eastern) Region Web Site as a 'Link'. We are delighted to be 'on line' but are aware that there is still much to be done to make it better. Give us a 'hit' sometime. Durham site continues to be excellent reading. Keep up the good work. John Allison. Yorkshire (E) Region Secretary.

A warm and fraternal invitation is extended to all ex-Services’ personnel to be a part of the 2004 City of Sunderland Remembrance parade this November 14th, when we will have the Band and Bugles of the Light Division leading us. Also on parade will be detachments/representatives of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regt., Coldstream Guards, Army Foundation College, the Scottish and Light Division Training Coy’s of the ITC, and hopefully for the first time the RAF Regt. This is perhaps the biggest, and more importantly the most inclusive parade outside of London, all will be made very welcome indeed. For further details contact Arthur Lockyear on 0191 373 2035 or on e mail artemusonparade@aol.com.

Since taking up the post As RAFALO for RAF leeming, I have been very impressed with both the individual and group efforts that are given. Your personal touch with regard to those you host is second to none and this was demonstrated during the annual Deerbolt Aviation Day on Jul 3rd this year. You should be very proud of your yourselves and you do your region great credit. I look forward to many more functions with you.
