I attended this school in about 1979,would love 2 have a bit more info of teachers and photos as ive watched this school been demolished and its devastating.

My name is David Currie and I attended this school from 1951? as did my twin brother Richard.All my brothers and sisters also attended this school they are:- Jack,Margaret,Alec,Gordon,Billy,Brian,Richard and Ann,do these names ring any bells?I will be visiting Darlington in the middle of September, I would be interested to here any comments on the above,Cheers David Currie

Hello,I have just discovered this site.I attended this school in about 1952,as did all my brothers and sisters.Does anybody remermber them,they were:- Jack,Alec,Gordon,Billy,Brian,Margaret,Richard,Ann and of course me. reading about past pupils my brother Jack and Alec remember some of them.I remember the Curls as John Curl was my driver when I worked for the Co-op,and his sister Betty was a bus conductress on the trolley buses.I went to school with Susan Wray whose family owned Brennans Shop in Mayfair Road.I will be visiting Darlington in the middle of September if anybody wants to get in touch.Thank you David Currie.

Was a 'Luke' when attended from 1958 -1963 then moved to Kendal.Remember walking to another building for school dinners. Freezing toilets at the end of playground in winter!!! Went to local park for class photo on playground equipment. Can't remember any teachers or pupils except for Barbara ?? who I played with on first day and a boy called Tony Kellog cos' we called him 'cornflake'!!

It must have been 1937 when I started school at Harrowgate infants. Can still remember that day. Also memories of the long time with no school at the outbreak of war and it was lovely summer weather.We attended school for half days for a while after untill more air raid shelters had been built.
We had sing songs in the shelters.
Only teacher I can remember was Miss Henderson. I suppose because we all lived in terror of her

especially reading birthdays out and the cake, hope Megans operation goes well tomorrow, well done Mrs Cunningham and staff
